Ode to my Dad

As the years pass me by and my world continues to change, so does the realization of my childhood. I’m not sure what it means to be a man completely, and perhaps I’ll never fully understand the complexities of such a title. Regardless, I do understand what it takes to navigate life and fully appreciate the challenges of being a human.

Patience isn’t a trait associated with any Lehmann male, while stubborness is owned in excess. My dad wasn’t always the easiest person to deal with, especially when the little patience he had was tested. But as with every human on earth, we all have our strenghts and weaknesses. What he lacked in patience he made up for in an unwavering love and respect for his children. When I consider all the trials he faced since the day I was born I stand in amazement that he’s the loving, caring person he is today. Perhaps overcoming such pain is what truly is the measure of a man.

So to you dad, more than anything else, your one crazy fucker and deserve the best things in life. Keep exploring your world and never stop till you find whatever it is you’re seeking! I love you.

I could only wish for a father as good as Rich.

Too bad your son turned out to be such a pain in the ass Rich ;-)

I think we tested his patience on WTW. Too bad you are not like your dad Tom.

    Ode too My Son,
Those that have the privilege to know my Son, know just how great a person he is today, first I have to say Tom is his own Man, he had a rough Childhood and I blame myself in part for not spending more time with him when he needed me, and for that greatly apologize Tom, not just Tom but to all My Children, Nicole and Jacqueline also, but I think Tommy needed me the most, I’ll never forget what he said to me, ” Dad I will make you proud of me ” will guess what he has kept his promise, he is not only and Artist, and a Poet, public speaker, but also he has a great career, It seems any challenge that he faces doesn’t go unanswered, will Tom You made me VERY Proud, he also found a great girl friend April, and they plan too be married next year I couldn’t ask for better kids, because I already have the best, the older you become the more you realize what you would change, if you could, I love all three of you with all my heart, and that will never change. Dad (-:
