Weekend in Bend

A few weekends ago my friend Abe and his girlfriend Nicole rented a HUGE house in the Sun Valley area of Bend, Oregon. The plan was to party like rock stars and ski Mount Bachelor. Done and done.
We left in the morning on a Friday and took our time during the 3 hour drive south down the eastern edge of the Cascade mountain range. Along the way we decided to try our hand at some fly fishing on the Crooked River, known for it’s abundance of dumb fish.
Here we are getting completely skunked, so we tried our hand at something we were much better at…
KEG STANDS! Since we were hauling two kegs to the house we decided to get things started early on the banks of the beautiful river. It is after all, “DAY USE PARKING”! 
Once at the house, we wasted little time keeping the party alive.

Once we were good and toasted we mounted our bikes and did a night ride around Sun River. I brought along my new GPS so we could find our way back through the developments twisting miles of roads and trails. Some where along the way we lost the dog pictured above. Crazy dog.
The next day we headed to Mount Bachelor and did some skiing/boarding. This was my first time at Mount Bachelor and really enjoyed the terrain. The view of the Three Sisters was really beautiful and the conditions were typical Spring snow. Good times.

We headed home with hurting bodies and brains, new friends and lots of good times. I’m also the new world champion of Polish Horseshoes. Bring it on!
